SEVENTH PERIOD 7th Period is an after-school program beginning at dismissal time and continuing on until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students take time out for a snack before beginning their homework. When homework is completed, students play on the field until they are picked up. Reservations may be made ahead of time or by calling the school at 310-377-4848 prior to daily pick-up. There is a charge for this after-school service. HOMEWORK CLUB The Homework Club is an after-school program for students in Grades One through Eight. Our goal is to offer children a quiet, teacher-supervised, environment where students are able to organize their homework in a timely manner and have their homework questions answered by one of our faculty members. Parents may wish to note that this is an assisted program, not a one-on-one tutorial session. There is an additional charge for this program. THE SCHEDULE FOR THE HOMEWORK CLUB IS AS FOLLOWS: Grades 1 - 5, Monday - Thursday 3:05 - 4:05 p.m. Grades 6 - 8, Monday - Thursday 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. Class size is limited to ten students per session. Those parents who still need additional child-care supervision after Homework Club concludes may enroll their child in our 7th Period Program that continues until 6:00 p.m. daily. PRIVATE TUTORING Private tutoring is available to Country Day School students. Parents wishing to arrange for this additional service should contact Mrs. Mendelson to put you in touch with one of our available teachers. There is an additional charge for this service.
