Welcome to the Lower School at RHCDS, where your child's education begins. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. I was educated in New York City and taught there for five years before moving with my family to Los Angeles in 1969. My relationship with RHCDS began in 1975, first as a classroom teacher, then Admissions Director, and now as Head of Lower School. From the moment I walked on this campus I knew this was what I dreamed a career in education would be like. Here I met wonderful parents who put their children's education at the top of their list of priorities. At Country Day School, I met truly professional educators who believed, as I did, that every child deserves our very best effort each and every day. And of course, I met the most adorable, curious students, who continue to fill my heart with hope for the future of our planet. However, nothing takes the place of a personal visit to see for yourself what a truly wonderful educational environment this is.
