Welcome
to the Rolling Hills Country Day School Parents
Association.
RHCDS
Parents Association consists of all parents of
Rolling Hills Country Day School students. The goal
of our organization is to provide support and
enhance the events and activities at RHCDS, to
encourage parental involvement in our activities,
and to assist in maintaining a strong link between
the school and its community. There are many ways
of taking pride in your choice of education for
your children and the following will outline our
means of involvement.

Events
and Activities
Members
of the Parents Association dedicate many hours to
each of our events and activities. Our Chairs and
their support team work very hard to provide our
children with an enriched and memorable school
year. Our major events consist of the Parents
Social, Multi-Cultural Day, Heyday, the Annual Tea,
and Olympic Day. We are also involved with many
activities throughout the year: Art At Your
Fingertips, Community Service, Friday Lunches,
Holiday Giving, Library Volunteers, New Family
Buddy Program, Red Ribbon Days, Staff Appreciation
Luncheon, Science Day, and Uniform
Closet.
Although
many schools rely on fundraising, RHCDS does not.
All of our events are for the sheer pleasure of
having a good time. Although we offer opportunities
to participate in a Live Auction, Silent Auction,
and Heyday Sponsorship Program Book, it is not
required or expected of any of our families to
contribute. It is clearly at the discretion of the
family.
Focus
Group
RHCDS
relies on the school community to keep everything
in balance. Therefore, a Focus Group was created.
The Focus Group meets once a month and is comprised
of grade representatives and the Administration.
Collectively they work together to ensure that the
needs of the faculty and families are met. Parents
are invited to express opinions and concerns during
the Open Forum portion of the monthly
meetings.
Parents
Association Meetings
PA
meetings meet the first Wednesday of every month at
7:45 am in the Multi Purpose Room. Our attendance
is usually between 75-150 people. These meetings
are very informative regarding events and
activities throughout the year. Special guest
speakers are also on the calendar for our
meetings.
Parent
involvement at Rolling Hills Country Day School is
encouraged and appreciated!
