Grade 6 students had a wonderful time at their Renaissance Fair. The students selected a famous person from the Renaissance era and conducted research about his/her life, such as where they were born, important facts and events that occurred during their lifetime, marriages, children, achievements and how and when they passed away.
Their speech is presented in class in front of their classmates, and for the Renaissance Fair they dress up in costume and perform their speech to parents and lower school students. The students particularly enjoy this because they have the opportunity to make history come alive as they become their person in the form of a living museum.
