Academics

Welcome

The core philosophy of Rolling Hills Country Day School is education of the whole child.  Our students are critical thinkers, collaborative workers, confident leaders, and involved citizens.  As a Kindergarten through Grade Eight institution, our role in educating students is unique.  We understand both the lasting impact of the earliest years of education and the importance of preparation for high school, college, and beyond.

Country Day School is a nurturing environment where students have opportunities to experience success and at the same time, the support and safety to work through challenges.  Our academics are rigorous, but we also believe that learning happens everywhere on campus.  Whether it is in the classroom, during flag speeches, in the swimming pool, or on outdoor education trips, students are inspired to realize their potential.

The skills that students gain at Country Day School will stay with them for the rest of their lives.  We focus on teaching our students real-life skills.  The School believes that creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, presentation skills, technological acumen and grit are crucial to future professional success.  Just as important is the sense of self that students gain at Country Day School.  We promote and instill self-confidence, responsibility, and purpose.  Our students are not just prepared for high school, but for a lifetime of meaningful endeavors, and we partner with our families to raise good humans.
